Normandie announces new EP out April 17

Date:

Swedish metalcore band Normandie has just announced via a cheeky reel on their Instagram that their new EP, SIDE EFFECTS PT. 1, will be released on Apr. 17, 2026.

Fans have been anticipating an announcement ever since the band ushered in this new era with independently released single “Sellout” last month, so we’re glad it’s finally here. SIDE EFFECTS PT. 1 will be Normandie’s first big release since their 2024 album Dopamine. Not only are fans ecstatic about this announcement, but the name of the EP itself gives us hope that a PT. 2 will be soon to come after the release of PT. 1.

Pre-orders and pre-saves for the EP are available now, with several CD and vinyl merch bundles available on their site. And the band has come up with a special way for fans to be part of this release forever: those who pre-order SIDE EFFECTS PT. 1 from their official store before Jan. 31 will have their names printed in the EP booklet.

Along with the announcement, the release countdown has appeared on Spotify containing the cover art and tracklist. The band has cleverly connected this EP to their previous album: where Dopamine‘s cover art featured inflated yellow smiley-face balloons, SIDE EFFECTS PT. 1‘s art features a single deflated yellow smiley-face balloon. If the heavy style of “Sellout” and this cover art are clues, we think Normandie may be about to get a whole lot heavier.

SIDE EFFECTS PT. 1 tracklist:

  1. “Sellout”
  2. “Cyanide”
  3. “Halo”
  4. “Guilt By Association”
  5. “Mayday”

Normandie has been getting creative with their social media lately, showcasing what it’s like to be a band in 2025 catering to an algorithm. Their reels have been providing a humorous yet honest commentary on the state of the music industry these days, and this creativity and openness serves to foster an even stronger connection with their fans online.

Between the content they’re pushing on socials and their bangin’ new single “Sellout,” we can’t wait to see what’s to come from Normandie in 2026.
