Big Sean sets August release date for album ‘Better Me Than You’ after partial leak on X

Date:

Big Sean’s 14-track record, Better Me Than You, was leaked on social media ahead of its official release. The rapper responded by dropping a trailer for the highly anticipated album and its first official single, “Yes.” The album is scheduled for release on Aug. 9.

“Imma just start droppin’ this new music before they leak it all. BIG SEAN x THE ALCHEMIST soon,” he wrote in an Instagram caption.

Previously, Big Sean released the single “Tobey” featuring rappers Eminem and BabyTron. The single peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the second single for Eminem’s twelfth album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Big Sean also performed on the show On the Radar, where he indirectly confronted rap icon Kanye West. Subsequently, much of Big Sean’s upcoming album, Better Me Than You, was leaked by an anonymous user on X.
