Bestfriend reflects on tough times in new song “UNTIL SUNDAY”

Date:

The Canadian pop duo Bestfriend is no stranger to success. Their vulnerable music has captured the attention of many, including outlets such as Under The Radar, EARMILK, Exclaim!, and The Line of Best Fit. Their new song “UNTIL SUNDAY” focuses on trying to move on.

“UNTIL SUNDAY” is about being held back by regrets and grief. Through gentle vocals and busy percussion, Bestfriend reflects on times when they were weighed down by the burden of these strong feelings. The lyrics of the song wish the outcomes of certain events were different, which leaves Bestfriend feeling haunted by the reality of these situations.

Sharing more about “UNTIL SUNDAY”, Bestfriend comments:

“One of the titles we tossed around for this one was ‘The Grief’ because that’s really, wholly what it’s about. It’s about the accumulated rust and wear we’ve picked up over the years but never really had the time or attention to do anything about. It’s about the depths of those feelings and the mirrors they can hold up to you in the latest and quietest hours of your nights.”
