Brantley Gilbert & Colt Ford rock Pikeville, KY

Date:

On Friday, May 23rd, the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville, KY, came alive as country fans packed the venue for Colt Ford and headliner Brantley Gilbert. The doors opened at 6:30, and the eager crowd poured in and at 7:45, the evening kicked off with none other than Colt Ford, one of Brantley Gilbert’s longtime brothers in country music.

Fort wasted no time breaking through the pre-show chatter, launching his set with fan favorites like “Country Thang,” “Crank It Up,” and “Ride Through the Country.” With every track, the crowd grew louder and more electric, especially when Ford delivered his 2010 hit “Chicken and Biscuits,” with the entire arena singing along. Ford performed his rendition of Linkin Park’s “In the End,” a bold and emotional moment that left the crowd fired up and wanting more.

At 9:00, the lights dimmed, the video screens came to life, and the Tattoos Tour 2025 officially kicked off the main act, Brantley Gilbert. Brantley set the tone with explosive performances of “It’s About to Get Dirty,” “Kick It in the Sticks,” and “The Weekend.” Fans sang along to every word as Gilbert rolled through hit after hit, including “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” “My Kinda Party,” and even threw it back to old-school Brantley with “Modern Day Prodigal Son.” A highlight of the night came when Ford rejoined Brantley on stage for their crowd-favorite duets “Dirt Road Anthem,” “Driving Around Song,” and “Country Must Be Country Wide.” Following their duets, Brantley took a heartfelt pause to honor the military and those who have lost loved ones, leading into an emotional performance of “Hell of an Amen.” The tribute continued with a powerful cover of Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” a moving moment in memory of the late country legend.

As the night drew to a close, Brantley finished his set with “Read Me My Rights,” bringing the evening full circle with a final burst of fire and pyrotechnics before the arena fell into darkness.
