Months after the release of BEFORE I FORGET, The Kid Laroi reopened the wound with its deluxe edition, expanding on his heartache with nine new songs that add even more texture to an already emotional arc.

The deluxe’s leading single “I CONDEMN” features producers star boy (Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby), Outtatown (Baby Keem, Playboi Carti), and Ken Carson (Travis Scott, Yeat), offering sharp production that carries through the remaining eight tracks.
B.I.F. leaned heavily into 80s synths and early 2000s R&B, and new additions like “BACK 2 LOVE,” “WEAKEST FEELING,” and “MOVE YOUR BODY” push those influences even further, channeling Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” and “Billie Jean.” Track six on disc two, “PIECES,” trades introspection for a breezier, nostalgic tone reminiscent of a hazy summer, its 2016-esque production offering a brief escape from the album’s emotional weight.
“DYING ON THIS HILL,” one of the most anticipated snippets prior to release, directly calls back to “A COLD PLAY,” reinforcing the cyclical nature of Laroi’s heartbreak. The line “So, how the fuck did it get so cold?” lands even harder here.
The deluxe version of BEFORE I FORGET widens the album’s sonic range and builds on its intimacy. In reopening the wound he once tried to close, The Kid Laroi shows that even with defiant acceptance, his heartache still lingers.
