Alec Benjamin’s 12 Notes Tour was a success in Charlotte, NC

Date:

On the night of Sept. 20th the stage at The Fillmore was set for Alec Benjamin’s highly anticipated 12 Notes Tour.

The evening opened with a powerful performance by Matt Hansen, whose energy and charm immediately captured the crowd. As soon as the lights dimmed and the first instrumentals echoed, the audience came alive. Hansen kicked off his set with his TikTok viral sensation “Gravity,” igniting cheers from the crowd. He followed up with fan favorites like “Where You Belong” and “Life Jacket,” effortlessly keeping the momentum going. One of the standout moments in Hansen’s set was his acoustic rendition of “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, which brought a wave of nostalgia and emotion to the audience. To wrap up his portion of the night, he delivered a heartfelt performance of “Let ‘Em Go,” readying for the main event.

As soon as the opening chords of “I Sent My Therapist to Therapy” rang out, the crowd erupted in excitement. Benjamin’s soft, catchy melodies made it easy for everyone to sing along, especially during tracks like “Different Kind of Beautiful” and the viral hit “Devil Doesn’t Bargain.” Alec took a heartfelt moment to express his gratitude to his bus driver, Dan, for the safe travels. In an amusing and endearing gesture, Alec even paused to write a note onstage: “Dan, you are cool.”

The lightheartedness continued when he addressed “1616 Holding,” playfully advising the company to “make better cups,” which had the crowd laughing in unison. As the night progressed, Alec treated fans to more viral hits and crowd favorites, building up to the emotional climax with “Sacrifice Tomorrow.” But the crowd wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.

After chants for an encore filled the venue, Alec returned to the stage, gifting the audience with two final songs: “12 Notes” and his viral sensation “Let Me Down Slowly.” The closing chorus was a beautiful, unifying moment, as everyone in the room joined in, wrapping up a night that felt both therapeutic and deeply cathartic.
