Singer-songwriter Alex Warren has announced the release of the first chapter of his debut album You’ll Be Alright, Kid, available Friday, Sept. 27, via Atlantic Records.
This chapter will include his latest single, “Burning Down,” which quickly gained traction with 38,000 videos created on social media platforms just a week after its teaser was released. The album also features the single “Troubled Waters,” which explores themes of vulnerability, emotional struggle and a longing for support during tough times. In the song, Warren likens his pain to “waves” and a “storm,” symbolizing the inner turmoil that leaves him feeling like he’s left to “drown in troubled waters alone.” The track, produced by Adam Yaron, was released alongside a music video in which Warren is rescued from a storm by his wife, Instagram influencer Kouvr Annon.
Earlier in June, the California native made his debut on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 with the hit single “Carry You Home,” which peaked at No. 83. The song, which has garnered more than 100 million streams on Spotify as of Sept. 15, taps into the folk-rock sound made popular by bands like Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers.
Warren recently kicked off his YOU’LL BE ALRIGHT, KID TOUR on Sept. 9. He will hit stops in cities such as Berlin, Salt Lake City, New York and Orlando. The tour will wrap up on Nov. 4 at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.
