Lostboycrow releases “Dirty Dancing” single and music video before upcoming tour

Date:

Alternative rock artist Chris Blair, best known as Lostboycrow, released the highly-anticipated track “Dirty Dancing” on Aug. 27. The rapturous, off-kilter R&B singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, Calif. will be joining Switchfoot on tour starting Sept. 9 in Vancouver, Canada through Oct. 12 in Fort Myers, Fla. The tour will feature six headline shows for Blair.

“Dirty Dancing” features up-and-coming artist DYSN. About working with DYSN, Blair said:

“DYSN and I have always been kindred spirits, and it’s always just a joy to collaborate. I knew this song was the perfect place for our paths to cross again musically the second I started writing it.”

Blair’s lyrics recount the experience of a night out. He slips away from societal stresses and becomes carefree, singing, “What’s the worst that could happen? / They say we’re moving too fast / Okay slow it down now we’re dirty dancing.”

Along with the release of “Dirty Dancing” came its official music video, providing a cinematic representation of Blair’s psyche on his night out. About the video, director Anteopus said:

“It’s a surreal riff on the relationship between repression and expression, and one’s capacity for multiple personalities therein. We thought ‘dirty dancing’ eloquently implies more than one meaning, and we attempted to capture that visually.”

Tickets to Blair’s upcoming shows can be purchased on the Lostboycrow website.
