On September 7, 2023 First Bank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee was packed to the brim with fans from all over to see Tenacious D on The Spicy Meatball Tour. Supporting Tenacious D on this tour is comedian Dave Hill. This was sure to be a night of laughs, sing alongs, and a performance fans wont soon forget.
American comedy rock duo Tenacious D formed in 1994 out of Los Angeles, California. Consisting of two best friends with one goal in mind Jack Black and Kyle Gass have provided us infinite laughs over the years, and keep fans craving more. Releasing their most recent studio album Post-Apocalypto in 2018, Tenacious D have left fans craving more content. With most popular songs “Tribute,” “Beelzeboss,” and “Rock Your Socks,” they provided fans with a sixteen song setlist and numerous fan favorites in Franklin, Tennessee. Opening with the hit “Kickapoo” Tenacious D also performed “Wonderboy,” “Video Games,” and closed out with a three song encore that included “Master Exploder,” “The Spicy Meatball Tour,” and F*ck Her Gently” which sent fans into full sing along mode. This show was like no other, from the moment the lights dimmed and the iconic duo walked onto stage, to the last note Tenacious D had fans undivided attention and were on their toes from start to finish. With more expected to come from Tenacious D, we can’t help but hope they be back to “Rock Our Socks” soon.
