Recent News: Just finished their European and U.K. summer tour following the release of their album Tsunami Sea, ending the tour by opening for Linkin Park at Wembley Stadium.

Through their unprecedented prog-meets-heavy metal artistry, Spiritbox have risen to become one of modern rock’s most prominent names. Since their 2016 formation, the Canadian metal group has gone on to open for Ghost and Korn, receive two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance, collaborate with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and release two full-length studio albums.

Following the release of the band’s most recent album Tsunami Sea, released March 7, Spiritbox embarked on a spring North American tour. The band just recently wrapped up their European and U.K. summer tour, ending the run of shows by opening for Linkin Park at London’s legendary Wembley Stadium. The tour also found Spiritbox making a number of festival appearances, including Rock Am Ring, Download, and Hellfest.

Combining the melodic vocal delivery of that of Amy Lee with the guttural yet grounded brutality of bands like Deftones, Spiritbox have made serious headway in the rock scene through their unrelenting sonic power. Frontwoman Courtney LaPlante balances harmonic melodies with visceral screams, establishing for herself a unique and untouchable vocal prowess which is rounded out by the band’s signature incorporation of electronic elements in their metal musicality. Through it all, Spiritbox maintain an ethos of pushing boundaries in the rock scene, prioritizing inclusivity and accessibility for all who listen.

Since the release of their 2021 debut album Eternal Blue, Spiritbox have been heralded as one of the most exciting acts in rock and metal in recent years. (Kerrang! notably called them “the hottest band in the world” well before the record was even out.) Having earned several wins and nominations for titles such as Best International Artist or Best International Breakthrough Band, as well as regularly sharing the stage with some of rock music’s most notable acts, Spiritbox have well proven themselves as one of this generation’s greatest rising acts — who don’t plan on hitting the brakes any time soon.
