Wynona’s Valentine to us is “Kiss Me, Kiss Me”

Date:

What started as demos from a home studio in Japan quickly turned into Wynona, a UK-based folk-rock duo. The duo has appointed the inspiration behind their sound to be the dreamy sounds of 90’s rock, mentioning artists such as The Cranberries and The Sundays. Wynona has been praised by BBC Radio 1 following their single “Feeling For Edges” earlier this year. Their music feels like a time capsule into a Mazzy Star record.

Wynona’s latest single “Kiss Me, Kiss Me” has arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s a sweet head-nod to thoughtful romance, almost acting as a sister song to The Cranberries’ “Linger.” Wynona spoke about well the song was received among their audience on tour- so well that fans would sing the chorus back to the band before the song was publicly released. There’s plenty of love songs out there, but “Kiss Me, Kiss Me” checks all the boxes on how to do it right. With the enchanting guitar tones, the romantic vocal melodies, and the genuine lyrics, this is the song to play to your loved one on February 14th.
