On March 16th, 2018, London rock band The Vaccines released a forth single, ‘Surfing in the Sky’, in anticipation of their new album, Combat Sports. It’s been three years since their last album was released, and fans are over the moon about the new record. The new song is very on-brand for The Vaccines— heavy guitar, upbeat drums, and passionate vocals, but as always, they put an exciting twist on it.
Listeners can expect for The Vaccines to go back to their rock n’ roll roots on their upcoming album. In an interview, lead singer Justin Young said that the record was about “sex and love, and love lost” and that there is “a lot more of spirit and energy” in their new album than their early music (NME).
Combat Sports is set for release on March 30th, 2018.
