Sam Burchfield reflects on his past in new song “Holiday”

Sam Burchfield takes pride in his rural southern roots, and you can see this in his unique blend of Appalachian influences such as gospel, country, folk, and Southern soul in his music. His new album is centered around change brought by big milestones. His new single “Holiday” focuses on routines. 

“Holiday” is about shifting priorities and new traditions. Through steady acoustic guitar and layered percussion, Sam Burchfield reflects on the cycles he has broken and created and how his perspective on life has changed over time. Lyrics share how these habitual patterns can become mundane, but changing them can bring a sense of newness to these moments.
