bbno$ is not slowing down any time soon: the Canadian rapper and songwriter released his latest electronic hip-hop track “round and round” with an accompanying animated music video.
Produced by longtime collaborator Y2K and co-written by JBACH, the self-aware track explores the tension between performance and authenticity, encouraging listeners to pull through when artists stray from “selling” their soul to a label.
Sticking with his staunch opposition to AI and computer-generated artwork, bbno$ commissioned 12 artists to create the animated music video that portrays surreal moments in a stylized world, matching the track’s upbeat energy.
“round and round” is the third bbno$ single since the release of his viral self-titled album, bbno$, which was released in October 2025. The ninth studio album features online hits, including “1-800,” “it boy,” and “two,” with standout features from Vanillamace, Käärijä, and Ironmouse.
On the album and his live shows, bbno$ shares,
“When you listen to the project, you should expect fun. If you’re expecting important lyricism for 2025, don’t expect that. One of the lines says ‘balls hanging low so the pussy playin’ ping-pong,’ there’s not much going on, it’s just a good, fun listen… […] It’s really good walking music […] and then if you like doing drugs, come do some ketamine at my show, I don’t know, feel free!”
The “edamame” singer returned from his online hiatus earlier this year with introspective and personal tracks “why am i like this” and “diamonds are forever.” After receiving positive feedback from fans, he shares on social media,
“it’s easy to [forget] how many supporters i have. i wish i could meet you all and personally thank every single one of you. You all have made my wildest dreams home true!! being able to create and perform my art around the world is such unbelievable feeling that you all have blessed me with. thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
