Alright everyone, gird your loins! Interscope and 20th Century Pictures revealed via Instagram the official tracklist for The Devil Wears Prada 2, out this Friday, May 1. It’s the first full look at the soundtrack ahead of the film’s release, and it already feels like it’s shaping up to be just as styled and intentional as the world it’s soundtracking.
Lady Gaga leads the 13-track set with three original songs, opening the album with “Shape of a Woman,” returning on the already-released “Runway” with Doechii, and closing her run with “Glamorous Life.” Her presence feels central to the project’s identity, especially considering how much of the film’s early rollout has already been tied to “Runway,” which dropped alongside the final trailer and quickly made its way onto the charts.
Nearly two decades after the original film became a cultural touchpoint, The Devil Wears Prada 2 returns to the world of Runway magazine at a moment when print media is in decline. The story reportedly picks up with Miranda Priestly facing the reality of retirement, while Andy Sachs reenters the editorial space as Features Editor, bringing the two back into a shifted but still high-pressure environment.
Outside of Gaga, the soundtrack pulls in a wide range of artists that lean into both pop and more understated, textured songwriting. Dua Lipa appears with “End of an Era,” while Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard team up on “Walk of Fame (Edit).” Elsewhere, SZA, Raye, Laufey, Olivia Dean, Sienna Spiro, Izzy Escobar, Ledisi, and The Marías round out the tracklist, giving the project a mix that feels intentionally broad without losing cohesion.
