Moonlight Zoo blend past and present into “Don’t Be Afraid”

Date:

Based out of Dunfermline in Scotland, Moonlight Zoo put out a new single perfect for summertime. “Don’t Be Afraid” is a soft pop hit with a message of self-acceptance. Moonlight Zoo started out busking around European cities, and have used the skills they learned on the streets to create a unique blend of alternative pop.

“Don’t Be Afraid” urges that listeners “don’t be afraid of the way that you feel” and “don’t let anyone tell you that it isn’t real”. While the song has a very modern percussive flair, the melodic guitar and hearty bass lines draw inspiration from 80s pop tracks like “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon. Fans are already getting into the groove with Moonlight Zoo, as “Don’t Be Afraid” was Track of The Week for BBC Scotland following its May 31st release.
