On Sunday, May 3, Turnover took to social media to announce a new era for the band.

Fresh off a 10-year anniversary tour for their hit album Peripheral Vision, Turnover acknowledged in a note penned to fans that they had been silent longer than they are used to. Their statement announces a new album coming soon, revealing that it will be self-released and self-shipped.

The dream pop/shoegaze staples signed to Run for Cover Records in 2012, marking over a decade of partnership between the two. Though the band is still listed under the active artists section of the label’s website, this announcement seems to hint at a departure; additionally, the band’s own website has been cleared of any references to the label. In the statement, the band went on to say:

“We’ve been working with some friends and have a system ready to make things more personal but as accessible as ever.”

They ended the statement by remarking that “all info regarding Turnover—new music, tours, merch, and more—will be coming directly from us.” Fans are invited to text 757-997-6863 to be the first to know as Turnover debuts this new era.
