LIVE PHOTOS: Love Fame Tragedy // Los Angeles, CA

Date:

Love Fame Tragedy, the new solo project of The Wombats’ frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy, played their first show in Los Angeles last night. It was a short but sweet set played to a small but enthusiastic crowd in the intimate Moroccan Lounge in Downtown LA. The band was forced to cancel their San Francisco show the day before due to Murph being sick, so the audience was happy to see Love Fame Tragedy take the stage in LA, a few people even shouting across the venue that they were glad Murph was feeling better. The band played all the material they have so far, including the four songs on the group’s debut EP I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It, with a few other unreleased songs mixed in. Closing the show with a bang, Love Fame Tragedy played “My Cheating Heart,” the punchy lead single off their debut EP.
