Connor Price brings his ‘Friends and Family’ party to D.C.

Date:

Viral social media star and hip-hop musician Connor Price brought big party vibes to the famed EDM venue Echostage D.C. on what would typically be a quiet Thursday night. Fans of all ages were invited to attend The Friends & Family Tour, which has already stopped in many major cities across North America and will continue with more dates through April. The venue was completely packed with a youthful demographic and their supportive parents, who spent the night singing their hearts out and dancing to his catchy viral tunes.

Opening the evening was GRAHAM, a friend and fellow musician who has helped Connor produce many of his iconic tracks. Hailing from Ontario, Canada, GRAHAM began collaborating with Connor around 2021, and soon after started releasing his own music. Although he is still relatively new to performing on stage, the audience enjoyed his songs and welcomed him warmly. He energized the crowd with his infectious pop-infused tunes, performing tracks like “Forgot to Breathe,” “My Medicine,” and “See You Later.” After getting the audience hyped up, GRAHAM stepped into the DJ booth center stage, preparing the scene for the main act of the evening.

The stage featured an interactive, game-like setup, promising fun surprises throughout the night. Two large screens displayed trendy graphics and popular clips from his social media videos while a building-sized inflatable ‘Globe Guy’ mascot sat on one side of the stage, and a large red solo cup stood curiously at the other end. After much encouragement from GRAHAM and the crowd, Connor finally made his grand entrance, enthusiastically kicking off his set with “Million Cash.”

Connor’s energy was boundless as he moved constantly across the stage, often interacting with the crowd at the front barrier during the performance. He showcased a wide range of tracks from his expansive discography, including fan favorites such as “Violet,” “Straight A’s,” “SPLAT,” and “Up!” At one point, during a short pause, he engaged the audience by asking children and their caregivers to raise their hands in response to various questions. This led to him introducing two sentimental tracks he composed for his children, aptly titled “Jude’s Song” and “Molly’s Song.”

Midway through the performance, Connor announced that a special guest was in attendance: local DMV artist, Nic D. He joined Connor on stage for some collaboration tracks, starting with “Bankroll.” After performing a few songs together, Connor directed a short video segment, instructing the crowd to say specific lines while Nic ran through the audience. They later compiled the clips into a fun video and shared it on social media.

Next, Connor introduced a game called “Trick Shots: Tour Edition.” He asked volunteers from the crowd to hold a giant red solo cup in the middle of the pit while Nic blindly attempted to throw an oversized ping pong ball into it. When Nic made a clean backwards shot, the crowd erupted into cheers as confetti cannons blasted to congratulate him.

To wrap up the evening, Connor invited an audience member on stage to help him perform “Buddy.” Although the young fan seemed shy at first, Connor guided them to center stage, and the fan impressively sang the lyrics of the entire track. As the show neared its end, Connor played a few rounds of his popular TikTok “Spin the Globe” act, allowing a virtual globe to randomly choose the next songs. The game landed on “Overnight,” the ever-popular “Trendsetter,” and finally “Drop,” before Connor and GRAHAM exited the stage.

The crowd, not ready for the night to conclude, began chanting for an encore. Connor and his friends quickly returned for one more song. He honored the D.C. crowd by wearing a Washington Commanders jersey, and as the beats of “Spinnin” began to play, he sprayed the audience with bottles of water.

The energy reached an all-time high as fans waved their arms and cheered while confetti cannons erupted one last time in celebration of an amazing show. Connor and his friends tossed signed merchandise into the audience and waved goodbye as they departed the stage. Still reeling from such a fun night, fans immediately rushed to the merch table, chatting and sharing their highlights from the show with each other.

The Friends & Family Tour continues through mid-April, with tickets available on his website. Be sure to join the party and catch Connor Price in a city near you!
