dee holt Faces Away from the Wall in “tunnel vision”

Date:

20-year-old singer-songwriter dee holt first performed in front of her family while facing the wall because she was nervous to share her musical talent.

About her family’s reaction, dee holt said:

“When I turned around, everyone was like, ‘Oh my god, we weren’t expecting you to actually be good!’”

Now, with her release of “tunnel vision”, she no longer faces the wall. The track’s rhythmic beat, paired with airy layered vocals, shows the craft of a seasoned artist ready to take the music industry by storm. dee holt’s indie-pop troubadour sound is reminiscent of standout indie artists Gracie Abrams, Billie Eilish, and Holly Humberstone.

About the meaning of “tunnel vision”, dee holt said:

“You know that nervous feeling you get around your crush? The butterflies. the blushing. the awkwardness!!! That’s what tunnel vision is about. We wanted to write something exciting! And nothing is more exciting and nerve-racking than being face-to-face with your crush!!”

In addition to the song’s release, dee holt premiered the “tunnel vision” music video on YouTube on June 28. The video takes place in several settings, all in which dee holt flirtatiously sings about the tunnel vision her love interest makes her feel.
