Baby Cate releases new single, “SLEEP”

Date:

Baby Cate, otherwise known as Caitlin Simon, has been creating music since she was 10 years old and first taught herself guitar. Ever since then, she’s always been writing and producing music. Her first collection of work written and produced entirely by herself was Baby Cate: The Mixtape in 2019. In the past three years, she’s continued to release singles and EPs.

Her new single, “SLEEP” is also self-written and produced. The song takes on a stylistically rhythmic tone to show her love for hip-hop rap music and interest in multi-instrumental and mix engineering. The track details a perfect dream in which she is able to quit her job and still be successful, but then has to wake up in the morning, wishing the dream could last longer.

Cate says she considers her music successful when people “want to listen to every song I make over and over again because they connect to it in some way.”
