New Zealand artist Alisa Xayalith, of The Naked and Famous, has recently released “Devil I Know”, the first single off her debut EP SUPERPOWERS. This is Alisa’s first solo venture, a deeply personal and introspective project.

“Devil I Know” delves into the complexity of walking away from one’s demons, whether it be a person, or a bad habit. Alisa walks the listener through her story and the strength it requires to move on from damaging situations. The soothing tone makes it easy to take in the message, a universal circumstance that makes the song touching and relatable.

The dreamy quality of the sounds paired with the softness of the vocals make for an almost comforting listening experience. “Devil I Know” is like a warm hug, even in the face of uncertainty and change. It is a catchy pop song that leads to a different level of introspection.
