Bad Suns brought their Accelerator tour through Northwest Arkansas with an electric performance at George’s Majestic Lounge. In support of their most recent album of the same name, The Accelerator Tour emphasizes bold colors unique to every song that makes the hour and 30 minute set feel half as long.
Bad Suns brought another three piece act as their opener, little image. Jack Simmons, Troy Brunner, and Brandon Walters make up the Alternative pop group, and just released their third record KILL THE GHOST. The trio made efficient use of their 8 song set, winning over the audience with “MR. CYNICAL” off their brand new album. Early in the set, the band performed their biggest hit “OUT OF MY MIND”, which charted at number three on the alternative charts for Billboard, and had the audience singing the chorus by the end. The set closed with a handful of songs off of KILL THE GHOST, including the title track. As they gear up for their second headline tour in just a few weeks, 2026 is already proving to be one of Little Image’s biggest years thus far.
Bad Suns started the show with Accelerator’s opening song “Slow Karma” and followed with their indie rock classic “We Move Like The Ocean”, quickly establishing that this will be a career spanning setlist. Fans were adamantly receptive to tracks both new and old throughout the show. Bad Suns closed out the show with their two biggest “Cardiac Arrest” and “Daft Pretty Boys”, letting fans know that the dance pop direction of Accelerator won’t let them forget about their indie rock roots. The band’s immersive setlist is accentuated by moments like the band’s front man Christo Bowman venturing into the crowd to elicit their biggest reaction from the crowd of the night. But the audience didn’t need Bowman’s push to be involved in the show as the crowd was all through the entirety of the set, singing, dancing, and everything in between.
The Accelerator Tour proves that the Alternative Pop scene is alive and well and audiences are always excited to show up and show out for these concerts. Between the spectacular lighting design, incredible performances and iconic setlist, Bad Suns’ Arkansas debut is not a show that will be easy to forget.
