LA-based trio The Strike are back with their newest single “No Time To Waste.”
“No Time To Waste” is a warm synth-laced track that distills the feeling of a late summer night into four-and-a-half minutes of pure nostalgia. Blending the breezy, glowing aura of 1981 with the polish of modern production, the track finds the band leaning fully into their signature sound that fans have fallen in love with. The track serves as another taste of their upcoming fourth studio album, which follows 2024’s sensational A Dream Through Open Eyes.
Vocalist Chris Crabb shares about the meaning of the track in detail:
“This song is about that last summer before everything changes. When you’re young, summer marks the end of a cycle, but for a high school senior, it marks the end of an era: late nights, first love, and growing up. Looking back, I didn’t realize I was saying goodbye to many of my friends for the last time. If you’re in that season of life right now, make the most of it. Seize the moments before they slip away. And for those of us on the other side, I hope it’s a fun walk down memory lane.”
The track strikes a balance between emotional depth and undeniable melody, which has become a defining trait of The Strike, earning them a reputation as “your favorite band’s favorite band.”
