ORKID’s “In All of My Tomorrows” proves European pop is doing it right

Date:

Swedish artist ORKID
s single “In All of My Tomorrows,” the title track of her recent EP, is a European alt-pop dream.

ORKID seems to be one to watch in the Scandinavian and European pop scene. The haunting vocals against the synth- and electro-heavy melody create a rather unique feeling of euphoria for listeners. In this new musical era, the artist seems to be introducing a heavier use of electronic sounds than she did in her previous projects.

This track perfectly captures what the EP is here to represent. She strips things down like in her debut project processing grief, but touches on the fact that it’s doesn’t really go away. She says, “Grief doesn’t disappear, it changes shape. In All Of My Tomorrows is about carrying that feeling forward while finding space for hope.”

The title track is the first song on the 5-track EP, and it’s the track I would most definitely recommend listening to.
