Monday night brought out an excited crowd to 106.5’s sold out ‘Festivus’ show played at the Fillmore. Winnetka Bowling League opened the show, captivating the crowd with their catchy alt-pop tunes. With a set you could believe was the main act, they were the perfect opener and a great reason to show up early. After some waiting, and lots of chanting from the crowd, Cage The Elephant took the stage. The energy they came out with was astounding, there was no time to even blink for fear of missing something. They kept up this stellar energy the whole night, only slowing down a couple times for songs like ‘Cigarette Daydreams‘. Overall, the show was fantastic and had the crowd dancing the whole time. 106.5 made coming out into the cold worth it.
