Dora Jar reflects on a past relationship in new song “Lucky”

Date:

Dora Jar is an indie pop artist from New York City. She takes inspiration from artists ranging from Stephen Sondheim and The Beatles to Gwen Stefani and Mary J. Blige. Her latest release, “Lucky,” focuses on the strength of supportive relationships.

“Lucky” is about showing gratitude towards the people who have stood by you. Through soft vocals and gentle guitar, Dora Jar shares about how thankful she is to have someone who was by her side through thick and thin. Lyrics such as “Do you remember we got lost in the dark / Side by side until we quietly fell apart / While I was looking for somebody to blame / You waited for me and protected the flame / Now I’m not mad anymore,” show that no matter what happened between her and this person, she is able to recognize the good this relationship has brought into her life.
