LIVE REVIEW + PHOTOS: Shinedown // Fayetteville, NC

Date:

Shinedown’s “Attention Attention” World Tour made a stop at the Crown Complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina this past Friday and to say that they drew a bit of a crowd is a complete understatement. From the moment I stepped into the arena, all I could hear was the buzz coming from the hundreds of excited fans as they waited for their favorite bands to come on.

The first band to take the stage was Asking Alexandria. This was my first time seeing the English rock band perform live and they did not disappoint. As I looked around the room, fans both old and new were just as amazed as I was by their zealous performance.

Shortly after their set was over, Papa Roach took over the stage and the crowd roared as lead singer, Jacoby Shaddox, sang the first few words of “Last Resort”, everybody’s favorite throwback anthem. From the stage set up to the setlist, Papa Roach definitely know how to keep a crowd captivated.

Finally, the curtain fell and Shinedown hit the stage, starting off with their hit, “Devil” off their “Attention Attention” album, which was released in May of last year. From the beginning of their performance, I could already tell that the production for this show was going to be absolutely insane and unlike any other. I can now say that the lasers and heat from the LITERAL fire that they had on stage is something I will truly remember forever.

Frontman, Brent Smith, is one of the most energetic performers I have ever had the pleasure of seeing live. His energy, alongside guitarist, Zach Myers, bass player, Eric Bass, and drummer, Berry Kerch synchronized perfectly and created one of the most captivating performances I’ve seen to date.

Overall, it’s easy to tell that Shinedown know how to put on one hell of a performance. As the show ended and the crowds poured out of the venue, I noticed that I wasn’t the only one leaving with a smile on my face.

If you have the chance to catch this amazing line-up on tour, please do!
