On Monday, May 12, 2025, Metalcore fans from across East Tennessee packed into The Mill & Mine for an lineup featuring Dead Eyes, Until I Wake, Gideon, and headliner Beartooth. The doors opened at 5:30 with fans rushing in, claiming spots on the barricade and grabbing merch before the night of chaos began.
Kicking things off was Maryland-based metalcore outfit Dead Eyes. Wasting no time igniting the room, the band opened with their fan-favorite “Good Die Young”. The pit opened up, heads banged, and voices screamed along as they ripped through equally punishing tracks like “Better Off” and their latest release “Thanks for Nothing.” Their set was the perfect spark to light the fuse on a night of relentless energy
Next up, Buffalo’s own Until I Wake took the stage, delivering their signature blend of melody and aggression. The band immediately connected with the crowd as they kicked off with “Inside My Head,” with fans shouting every lyric back at them. Continuing their set, they played “Octane” and “Cold” and had the entire room moving, with crowd surfers and circle pits in full swing.
Then it was time for the juggernaut that is Gideon. Hailing from Alabama, the heavyweights delivered a no-frills, unapologetically brutal set that left no one standing still. Opening with the crushing “Cursed,” they hit the room like a wrecking ball. Pits erupted, fists flew in the air, and fans threw down to every earth-shaking riff and guttural scream.
Finally, the set everyone had been waiting for — Beartooth. As the lights dimmed, the energy in the room reached a boiling point. The band launched into “The Lines” with unmatched ferocity, immediately reminding the crowd why they’re one of the most celebrated names in modern metalcore. But what made this performance even more impressive was the wild schedule the band had leading up to it. Just two days before, Beartooth had played a massive show in Nashville alongside Shinedown, only to receive the last minute call to step in for Alice In Chains at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio. Without hesitation, they crushed a festival set in front of tens of thousands before trekking back down to East Tennessee to tear up The Mill & Mine. The Knoxville crowd matched the energy, screaming every lyric to tracks like “The Past Is Dead,” “I Was Alive,” and “Riptide.” The band closed out the night with “In Between,” leaving the venue drenched in sweat, voices hoarse, and hearts full.
