Wolf + Love, a duo based in Los Angeles, released their debut EP titled Something to Work With today, March 22nd. The duo consists of Danny Wolf, a drummer/mixer/producer, and Denny Love, a soul singer/songwriter. The EP consists of three tracks: “Clueless,” “Something to Work With,” and “Holding Out.” This style of fun, catchy, electro-pop with just a dash of funky R&B will keep you jamming all night long. Check out our track by track review below.

“Clueless”

This song starts off and ends with prominent keys and drums, which I love! The song literally comes back together full circle, which was a great way to start an EP. This song is an upbeat electronic tune that will have you singing along the second you catch onto the lyrics.

“Something to Work With”

This electronic number consists of key beats and synth that will give you an irresistible urge to dance along. The catchy lyrics make this song a one to love instantaneously. This track captures the vibe of the EP as a whole– funky, fresh, electro-pop.

“Holding Out”

This song starts off a tad slower in comparison to other tracks but quickly picks back up with a funky beat along with incredible vocals. The saxophone solo in the song is so well done and adds to the depth of the song, and to the overall “funky r&b” vibe of the EP. The lyrics are also pretty catchy; what’s there not to love?

Keep up with their future pursuits as I’m sure more great music will be released by following their Instagrams: Wolf + Love: @wolfandlovemusic, Danny Wolf: @dannywolf6, & Denny Love: @dennylovemusic.
