YOASOBI Makes U.S. Debut At Head In The Clouds Music Festival

Date:

The musical duo comprised of producer Ayase and vocalist Ikura broke into the Japanese music scene back in 2019, and this past weekend YOASOBI made their official U.S. debut at the Head In The Clouds Music Festival in Pasadena, CA.

As a large crowd cheered them on, the dynamic J-pop duo took on the stage alongside a live band to perform a fan favorite “The Blessing,” blessing U.S. fans with a beautiful live rendition of the late 2022 hit. Continuing the excitement, the duo proceeded to perform “Into The Night,” their breakthrough hit of 2019, as fans went absolutely wild as the initial notes started playing.

Vocalist Ikura absolutely shined bright on stage with her irresistible charm and beautiful vocals. Constantly walking by the band members and all over the stage, Ikura had the largest smile as she sang with such ease. There’s no denying that she loves being on stage, for she instantly placed a smile on your face from all the happiness that radiated from her. Mid-way into the set as things began to slow down, Ikura’s vocals soared high as the duo performed “Probably.”

The duo’s most recent single, “Idol,” currently holds 18 consecutive weeks at the top spot of the Billboard Japan Hot 100. To no surprise, the festival grounds became a total rager as YOASOBI closed the set with their latest hit. With such enormous love from the crowd, we can only hope that this won’t be the last time the Japanese duo comes to the States.

Stay tuned for an exclusive interview with YOASOBI, but in the meantime check out photos from YOASOBI’s set down below:
