Goldpark rise above the lies on “I Guess It’s Never Enough”

Date:

In August of 2021, Nashville-based indie rock trio Goldpark released their debut EP, Goldpark One.  It contained six tracks that resonated with fans in the local alternative scene in Nashville, as well as the larger indie scene around the US.  As the band picked up momentum, they toured around the US playing a mixture of shows and festivals before heading back into the studio to prepare for the release of their sophomore EP, Goldpark Two.  Over the past few months, Goldpark has released “Lady Lightyear” and “Covered in Sunshine” from the project, with the intention of putting smiles on the faces of those who listen.  Continuing to promote the EP, Goldpark are releasing its third single, “I Guess It’s Never Enough.”

With “I Guess It’s Never Enough,” Goldpark deliver a track that pinpoints the frustration one feels when constantly coming up short.  Adopting a rock-and-roll attitude, vocalist Wes Hunter asks, “Is there a reason you waited so long to tell me the truth?” and reveals, “I can’t wait for you to figure it out.”  As the grooves of the guitar and drums set in, so does the defeat that Wes breathes into the last lines of the chorus, “I guess it’s never enough.”  You can check it out below.

About the upcoming EP, Goldpark tell us,

[This EP] is special for so many reasonsWe had the right songs, the right producer, and the right spirit. This body of work is the best representation of who we are and where we are going.  We hope this EP makes people smile.”

The release date for Goldpark Two is still TBA, but it is expected to arrive this fall.

You can listen to “I Guess It’s Never Enough” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
