Independent artist, viral Tik-Tok artist, and podcast host Nic D has been exploding on social media for his latest single “Fine Apple,” a song which is an ode to his wife. The song has even landed Nic on Spotify’s Viral Top 50 list, reaching the #5 spot – with getting close to a quarter of a million streams per day. Before “Fine Apple” was released, Nic D had success with his song/video for “Quarantine Summer,” which is Nic living the quarantine life we all saw at one point or another.
Since the release of “Fine Apple,” labels such as Caroline (Capitol), Universal Republic, 300 Entertainment, Arista, and Sony have all courted Nic with offers; all of which Nic declined. However, Nic decided to collaborate with Republic Records where they would allowed him to maintain his independence.
The video for “Fine Apple” was directed and produced by Cakes Mitchell, Nic’s co-host on The FRDi Show. Starting the video off, Nic lets the waitress know he’d like “a water with lemon and lime…” as the song starts, and continues by showing different quirky scenes giving homage to the game Fruit Ninja as well as his viral TikTok videos for “Fine Apple“.
