Castaway takes us to space with “Supernova”

Date:

Castaway is a pop group from New Zealand that’s taking the galaxy by storm. They deliver a combination of pop and rock that’s full of youth and energy. After all 5 members met in their university residence hall, they made their first release in 2021 with their debut EP, Chaos And Order. Since then, they’ve been performing all over New Zealand, and working on their upcoming project. To fly us into their new EP, they’ve just released their latest single, “Supernova.”

“Supernova” opens with the buzz of a guitar which then explodes into a constellation of pop production. This song is about the feeling you get when you experience the kind of young love that you can feel throughout your whole body when you look at that one person. The instrumentation makes you feel like you’re on a rocketship heading straight for space. This track feels like if Electric Light Orchestra collaborated with Catfish & The Bottlemen. It’s innocent, pure, and honest by nature.
