On December 12, indie rock group Terra Twin will drop their newest single, “Crooked.” Steadily making headway in the UK music scene with their moody, Americana-influenced Brit-rock, Terra Twin will soon become a band on every music lover’s playlist.
Led by frontman Maxim Baldy, known for his acting roles in projects such as Amazon Prime Video’s “The Rings of Power,” Baldy began to form Terra Twin in his London bedroom in 2020. He was soon joined by fellow bandmates Lewis Spear (guitars), Johnny Thwaites (bass) and Alex Wadstein (drums), and the quartet has released a steady number of singles over the last few years.
Terra Twin released their debut EP Head Leaking in January of this year. Containing heavy themes of Americana, nostalgia, and intense emotions, the group made a great impact with their debut record, earning praise from the likes of DIY Magazine, NME and The Line of Best Fit.
While 2024 has been a big year for Terra Twin, next year holds a lot more in store for the moody art rock outfit. The band will release their highly-anticipated sophomore EP Static Separation on February 6, 2025, and will tour the UK and Europe throughout February and March 2025. Terra Twin have released two singles ahead of the EP, “The Recogniser” and “Again and Again,” and will drop the third single, “Crooked,” tomorrow.
Delivering a nostalgic yet incredibly relevant indie rock charm through their musicality, Terra Twin is a group that offers a special something for all music lovers. While their debut EP explored themes of memories and Americana, Static Separation intends to explore what happens when one gets stuck wading through the waters of nostalgia. A highly emotive and intentional project, there’s no doubt that Static Separation will serve as a definitive body of work from Terra Twin.
