A summer that he describes as a “summer of gay loving and despair” — Kevin Atwater announced his new album, due out this summer.

This week, Atwater, a 28-year-old dream and indie pop singer-songwriter from Illinois, announced his upcoming album, Blush Red, set to release Friday, July 10.

Atwater also released his latest single, “I’m not where you’re at,” on Friday, May 1 to accompany the announcement.

Known for barring his soul in confessional tracks that revolve around LGBTQ themes, Atwater’s music is both personal and deeply relatable.

Atwater released his debut album, Achilles, in March 2025 — his most popular track across platforms is “star tripping.”

In the announcement, the singer wrote, “It’s forever blushing season, baby.”
