Bianca James lives her best life on “Monaco”

Date:

With the summer fast approaching, there is no better time to get away. To walk the cobblestone streets of a seaside town, swing in a hammock between two tall palm trees, or take in the dazzling lights of a busy city below – there is no destination too great or small. For soul-pop artist Bianca James, there is only one destination on her list – the lovely Monaco on the French Riviera. On her new single, she paints a vivid image of the Mediterranean country, making us want to pack up our bags ASAP.

Inspired by Bianca’s love for adventure, “Monaco” is an action-meets-romance story about owning yourself and living in the moment. Accompanied by scene-stealing drum rolls and a surfer rock groove, Bianca plays the main character on a mission. She sings, “Gonna pack my high heels / Got some cash to blow / There’s no looking back / Got my ticket / And it’s one-way to Monaco.” She also throws in references to James Bond, Mick Jagger, and Grace Kelly, further establishing the classic, timeless vibe of the track. You can check it out below.

About “Monaco,” Bianca explains,

“‘Monaco’ is the artistic embodiment of wanting more. It’s a fantasy about escaping the greyness of daily life, throwing your high heels in a suitcase, and flying somewhere glamorous where you can be a wilder version of yourself.”

If you want more enlivening tracks like “Monaco,” you can find them on Bianca’s upcoming debut album. The album is due out this summer, but for now, “Monaco” and other songs can be found on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
