Gen Z’s very own, Lyn Lapid, has announced her first album entitled BUZZKILL to be released April 25th. Following her rise to fame, primarily after gaining popularity on TikTok when a singing clip of hers racked up millions of views, the twenty-two year old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has recently found herself navigating completely new, conflicting emotions inspiring the storylines placed within BUZZKILL, complete with R&B, jazz, and pop influences.
Lapid’s charming relatability and catchy hooks in her new singles “coraline” and “i’ll be happy when” released earlier this year describe the hard truths she faced regarding friendships, isolation, and sense of self when moving from small-town Maryland to big, bright Los Angeles. Anticipation surrounding these singles have ushered in fans from all over the world eagerly awaiting not only the rest of the nine songs to complete the album, but also her upcoming world tour.
