STYX announce newest album ‘Circling From Above,’ accompanying upcoming tour

Date:

Chicago-bred rock band STYX shares with audiences everywhere the announcement of their eighteenth studio album entitled, Circling From Above, out July 18th, 2025 via the band’s label, Alpha Dog 2T/UMe. In anticipation for the album, their newest single, “BUILD AND DESTROY,” and the accompanying video are out now.

The seven members that make up STYX explore themes of the overarching ideas of human experience through both technology and nature, encouraging audiences to lean into the thought-provoking messages that the album promotes. Intersecting genres of melodic rock anthems and imaginative storytelling through lyrics, guitarist/vocalist Tommy Shaw touches on this stating, “A good song is like a straight road — it’ll get you to the next place,” hoping to leave audiences with a smile on their face through the passion and creativity put into their album.

After recent sold-out residencies in Las Vegas, STYX will bring their greatest hits in combination with the upcoming album on tour, the Brotherhood of Rock tour with Kevin Cronin, to amphitheatres and arenas around the US.
