Seranation’s new single “Not Today” is about learning to say “no”

Seranation - "Not Today"

Seranation, founded in 2014, is a band based in St. Petersburg, FL, and consists of members, J. Carter on lead vocals, Adam Hocker on guitar and back-up vocals and Bianca Schlosser on bass and back-up vocals.

During a three-year period, Seranation released two full-length studio albums, Island Thinkin’ in 2015 and Livin’ the Dream in 2018, the latter hitting No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae charts and No. 5 on the Billboard Reggae chart.

Now, the band is back with their most recent single “Not Today,” in anticipation of their highly anticipated third studio album this year.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day grind, so we wrote ‘Not Today’ about taking time for yourself and learning to say no to all of the things in life that no longer serve you,” Seranation said. “When we filmed the music video we were inspired by all of our past experiences working in restaurants, bars, offices, etc. which helped make us who we are today.”

Reminiscent of mid-2000s pop music, “Not Today” is a radio ready single with Maroon 5 influences.
