Kahone Concept wants to prove he can do it better than you

Date:

In the fourth installment of his project of releasing one song per month for a year to create a full album, Kahone Concept released his July single, “I Can Do It Better Than You”.

The song’s central theme is experiencing someone who wants to turn everything, even a simple board game, into a competition. Kahone Concept uses the lyrics to express his distaste for the competitive nature of certain individuals while also showing he would never back down from a challenge. He sings, “I came here for fun / But you want more // Let’s get into it”.

The chorus of the song reinforces the message of rising to the competition and refusing to settle for mediocrity. Lines like, “Some may say that I’m a go-getter / But really I just don’t want to lose / I can do it better than you”.

The part-time musician, part-time software developer has self-described his sound as a mix between Coldplay and Twenty-One Pilots with influences from Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kings of Leon, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo. The combination of rock, pop, and alternative elements gives “I Can Do It Better Than You”, and the other songs on Kahone Conept’s growing album, a distinct sound.
