Welcome back to the early 2000s with Nadia Vaeh’s new single “Medication”

Date:

It’s a Brat summer and Nadia Vaeh knows it. With her new single “Medication” she joins the the pop punk girls in creating a summer anthem. The heavy bass of the drums to the upbeat grungy tempo will instantly earn a head bang when listening. The song will also take you back in time as there is a hint of nostalgia in her sound similar to those of the early 2000s artists in her genre like Avril Lavigne. Her vocal delivery in the track is cut-throat and exhilarating. The beat opens nearly immediately with an intensity that complements the tone behind the lyrics.

Lyrically, the song explores themes of codependency with a partner that masks as a medication to emotional turmoil. The hook, “don’t want to be your medication / dopamine death ’cause we’ll never quit,” creates a catchy and electrifying rhythm around the song. The song overall, with the quick upbeat and passionate tempo, immediately invites the listener to get up and dance.

Vaeh’s ability to blend such heated beats with lyrics that will have you immediately singing along stand as a testament to her spot in the pop-punk/pop-rock scene. The lyrics in the track are relatable and at the same time transcendent as she values connecting people through pop music.
