Ahead of album release, the band has shared three new tracks: “Private,” “OMG” and “Lovebomb.”
According to a release, (((((ultraSOUND))))) sees the group blend 1990s alt-rock with a modern, introspective edge. Pulling inspiration from Brit-pop and blending their signature California indie soul, the group continues to establish their nostalgic sound with both “delicate yet gritty vocals [and] a darker, moodier sonic palette,” a release reads.
The album, which is described as intimate and self-aware, sees the band explore heartbreak, disillusionment, and emotional vulnerability.
While explaining why they have been on an indefinite hiatus since November 2021, the group said, “As we entered our early 30s, we were faced with life outside of the band for the first time in our adult lives. Breakups, family struggles, and personal challenges.”
