“The Difference” entices the ear with subdued crescendos of percussion, intense notes of electric guitar, and fleeting vocal outbursts. Mouna sings, “Too many questions, I couldn’t ask why / Pile the dishes, wait for the light.” The music video for “The Difference” follows Mouna as she succumbs to the static of a vintage television screen that follows her from her bedroom to the subway and through the woods. “The Difference” puts the unspoken fears of a generation into words as Mouna navigates the darkness of her psyche to light a path for others to follow.

Mouna was drawn to music by her mother, who sang and played the piano. This led Mouna to take up an interest in opera, where she was trained as a vocalist. These primordial memories and early passion for music helped Mouna develop her artistry as a rising voice in indie rock. She recently supported Jhariah on tour. “The Difference” continues to push Mouna’s powerful voice forward on an upward wave of momentum.
