atmos bloom bring us “Closer” and closer to the release of ‘Everythingness’

Date:

Dream pop duo atmos bloom has released their latest single “Closer,” offering a second glimpse into their upcoming album Everythingness. The album is due for release on July 24 via Spirit Goth Records.

On their Instagram, the band described the track as an exploration of self-love. The song traces a journey towards self-acceptance while reflecting on versions of yourself that no longer remain. Reflections drift between nostalgia and acceptance without ever becoming overladen by melancholy.

Following their earlier single “Everything,” the new single continues atmos bloom’s hazy, guitar-led sound while leaning further into its dream-pop sensibilities. Tilda Gratton’s vocals sit at the heart of the track, her voice carrying a warmth that softens its emotional themes. Airy harmonies and vocal refrains ripple throughout, creating a dialogue between past and present, mirroring its introspective subject matter. The result is a half-lucid track that glances back while feeling simultaneously wistful and weightless.

Formed in Manchester in 2020 by Tilda Gratton and Curtis Paterson, atmos bloom has steadily carved out a space between bedroom-pop and shoegaze-psych. Their music sits among the sounds of DIIV, Alvvays, Broadcast, and Deerhunter. Their latest material draws on a broad range of influences while reflecting the personal growth and changing experiences of the duo.

If “Closer” is any indication of what’s to come, Everythingness looks set to be atmos bloom’s most immersive and emotionally resonant release yet.
