Kali Uchis announces deluxe version of ‘Sincerely’ with new single “Cry About It!”

Date:

Kali Uchis has announced the deluxe version of her fifth studio album, Sincerely, slated for release on September 26 via Capitol Records. The record, titled Sincerely: P.S., will feature her new single, “Cry About It!” featuring Ravyn Lenae. Fans can pre-save the new version here.

Just four months ago, Sincerely became Uchis’ third consecutive top ten album on the U.S. Billboard 200, debuting at #2 with 62,000 album-equivalent units. Her most personal project to date, it also marked the Colombian-American star’s first musical release since becoming a mother.

The introduction to the upcoming album, “Cry About It!” is a dreamy doo-wop-inspired song where Uchis and Lenae jump back and forth between English and Spanish. In the verses, Uchis seemingly sings (in Spanish) about an ex-lover’s current partner: “I know that it hurts you when you hear my name / I know that you hate me because of a man,” before adding, “I know that jealousy is killing you softly.”

In an Instagram post, Uchis commented on the new track, saying, “I wrote this song to celebrate the fact that I’m gonna keep getting better/hotter/more abundant etc & nobody can stop me.” The duo debuted a live version of “Cry About It!” earlier this week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
