Seafret takes us back in time with “Love Me In Reverse”

Date:

British duo Seafret have shared their new single “Love Me In Reverse,” an emotional track about longing to go back in time to mend a broken relationship. The song serves as the followup to their collaboration with KT Tunstall, “Five More Seconds,” released earlier this year.

With raw lyricism and vocal delivery, the duo’s songwriting skills shine brighter than ever in “Love Me In Reverse.” In the chorus, they chronologically detail in reverse the sad unraveling of a romance: “I’d go back to the worst / To the silence and the crying to when our hearts knew the worst / From making love to holding on to when I kissed you first.”

Seafret explains that the song is about a relationship that’s ended in ruins and admitting you’d go to hell and back if it meant you could bring even a tiny part of it back to life,” before calling it “a true Seafret style song!”

Known for their 2016 smash hit “Atlantis,” which has accumulated over one billion streams on Spotify, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper reunited to write and release new music as independent artists this year. They are currently on tour in South America and will soon be joining James Morrison as the opening act at his U.K. stops in September.
