Ama and Brent Faiyaz’s track “Need It Bad” is for the R&B lovers

Date:

North London-based R&B singer-songwriter Ama teams up with Maryland-based R&B artist Brent Faiyaz in “Need It Bad,” a luscious and buttery single about infatuation and yearning.

In “Need It Bad,” Faiyaz opens the track with smooth vocals about the girl he meets and how much he misses her. He’s accompanied by 808s while he fantasizes about spending time with her at night and making breakfast the next morning. That all changes in the middle of the song as he becomes obsessive: “What you want, baby girl, where you at? / I’m looking for you right now, I need it bad / I’ve been calling, call me back (oh).”

Ama appears in the track at the 1:41 mark. Her seductive, rich vocals elevate the track as she sings, “Well, here I am show me somethin’ / I got your message, heard you called / And I’m glad for it, that you think I’m bad and shit (yeah) / For what it’s worth it’s nice that you’re adamant.”
