Bo Staloch has captured raw emotion once again in his new song “Angelina.” In this folk song, we see the journey taken by a broken lover. He’s going through the pain of seeing someone who wants him one day and disregards him completely the next.

An exceptional experience is created by the song, which features gorgeous instrumentation from multiple guitars. The lines “Silence kills me / Silence thrills you / And you say nothing / But I need something” pang in our hearts, and choral lyrics “I don’t wanna just leave it, Angelina / Kiss me like you mean it, Angelina / I don’t think I can leave you, Angelina” twist the knife.

Bo’s friendly voice has an essence of honesty, as if he felt the emotions he’s describing for the first time while he was recording the song. As devastating as the song’s lyrics are, sonically it makes you feel less alone. The sheer vulnerability that Bo always offers his fans is unparalleled.

Bo said of the song,

“I’ve never met an Angelina, but she seems to be that situationship that just keeps pulling on you. You may truly have deep and heavy feelings for someone, but you’re both scared of those emotions, so you hide it with shallowness and toxicity when, in reality, all you want is that person.”

“Angelina” is out now on all platforms.
