The Hails will be dropping their newest album, Duckpond, on October 23 via ONErpm. The development of this newest addition to their discography grew out of the band physically being in a room together after being spread across the country. In order to come together, the five-member band rented a summer home with the simple mission of writing and recording the 14-track album.
“We missed the creative spontaneity that comes only from playing in the same room with other people — a process that birthed our biggest songs ‘Younger’ and ‘Stay,’” the band said in a press release.
“For too long we were unable to create in this way and we felt creatively starved because of it.”
“Corruptor,” which The Hails will release ahead of the album, is a sneak peek into the message of Duckpond. It speaks on the hardships of a long-term romance, inspired by the death of Brian Wilson and 90s pop.
The drop also includes the official music video, created by Steven Konnovitch x Cultivision, featuring the band playing 1930s gang bowling pinsetters fighting against automation to hold onto their profession.

And kicking off on October 14, The Hails will officially set off into their headline Duckpond Tour with special performances in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and a nostalgic return to Florida in Miami and Tampa, ending the tour on November 21.
